How to get ranked in Google has got to be on the mind of most businesses. Its easy to be seduced by the idea if we can just get the site up – then our “problems” are over. People will find us.

Part 2 in a series of site launch and the process of getting indexed and ranked

OK – site is launched using video content pulled in from youtube.

Gets indexed within 24 hours – check

Not ranking in index within 24 hours – check

DAY 2

More pages indexed into Google – total of 9 now

Ranking in index within 48 hours – check

Now, its on page 56 – this is where it came in naturally. I’m going to give it a few days to see if there is upward movement.

Interesting to note, a local business that offers this specific service which has had a website published for at least 1 year is still in purgatory – its indexed which means Google sees it – but its not ranking anywhere in the first 100 pages of Google – for some reason within 48 hours – Google trusts my site.
